September 25, 2019 Meeting Minutes

Policy Board will meet on October 23, 2019 to review the fall performance of assigners. (Volleyball, Soccer and Football) This will be held at 10:00am at the EC3 building.
5th Region Girls Soccer Tournament hosted by Central Hardin. J.C. Wright will send the bracket information out soon.
5th Region Boys Soccer Tournament hosted by Marion County. Michael Holt sent out bracket information. They will play Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. The draw will be held on October 11 at 5:00pm.
5th Region Volleyball Tournament hosted by Thomas Nelson. Sara Thurmond will send out bracket information in the next week. They will play October 28-31. Two, two, two and one will be the game count for that week. The draw will be on October 26th, 2019 at 9:00am.
Fall Student Athlete of the Year. Please fill out the Google form by October 2, so the committee can make the selections. Currently, only four student-athletes have been nominated.
Volleyball Issues - the length of time is too late for student-athletes to be out at games. AD’s will talk with their coaches about possible changes to occur.

9th - 2 matches, JV - 2 matches (they are developmental), ⅗ in District, ⅔ out of District
9th make their own schedule like basketball (mainly on Wednesdays and Saturdays)
Varsity start at 5:30pm

Baseball & Softball discussion on beginning on Saturday of the Region tournament

AD’s will talk to coaches and determine what they would like to do. Some Districts are for it and some are not.
Glenn Spalding gave the motion to move it to Saturday, Jerry Taylor gave the 2nd motion
The 16th is the Saturday of District, the 23rd is the Saturday of Region
The motion was amended that it was only for baseball and not softball
The motion was tabled until the October meeting after the AD’s had discussions with the baseball coaches.
If it starts on Monday, there must be a strong contingency plan.
